There are some good technical documents out on the web. There are also some great books which are worth reading.
I find these, from time to time, and have included links here for you. I hope these are useful.
I've found two overview's of TCP/IP.
Some TCP/IP Utilities - these may be helpful.
White Papers from TGV - some helpful white papers here.
A TCP/IP Primer - a simplistic overview. Not bad.
The comp.protocols.tcp-ip faq - this is from the usenet group of the same name. A useful resource.
The best books on TCP/IP are:-
Strouds Consumate Winsock List - the best list of Winsock goodies on the Internet. The home site is in the US, but there is a UK mirror.
The Winsock Client Listing - some helpful Winsock related links
